As a big fan of Kevin Spacey, I was pretty excited when I came across an article about him on the website for Evidence-Based Mentoring. It was also pretty cool to see some synergy with a recent post discussing the need for male mentors and our recent interest in promoting corporate mentoring. As the week is winding down, it brought a smile to my face to think about the hi-jinx of Oscar & Felix and Grumpy Old Men … so please read on …
The Tabor Mentoring Program is thrilled that Esquire Magazine has collaborated with MENTOR to promote a national campaign to highlight the need for male mentors in this country. This is a traditional struggle for us as many of the young men in our program lack connections with positive male role models. Mentors & Colleagues ~
Please join us for a round table discussion on November 19th @ 6:00PM. We will be hosting Dana Wells, MEd, RD, LDN, CPT, who will a lead a conversation & presentation about how we can best support the youth we work with in developing a healthy relationship with food as they transition into adulthood. Many youth in foster care often have a history of food insecurity and lack the education and resources to understand how healthy nutrition can impact their entire well-being. As some of the primary adults in their lives, we have the opportunity to encourage our youth to lead healthy lives.
We look forward to seeing you there!
Jill & Madison
